Speech Consultations
I offer complimentary speech consultations in person or over the phone to discern the best therapeutic route with your child. During the consultation we can determine whether a speech evaluation, language evaluation, and/or a comprehensive speech and language evaluation is warranted. A review of any paperwork and previous assessments can be factored into the next steps for developing a therapy plan.
Speech Screenings
Informal articulation and/or language screenings are offered to help a parent discern what is typical speech and language development vs. atypical development that warrants speech therapy.
Speech Therapy
I offer speech therapy sessions at an office space in Longmont or Lafayette, as well as in home speech therapy sessions serving Boulder, Adams, and Weld counties. Speech therapy sessions are either 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes in length to best meet the child’s needs.
NEUROEMOTIONAL TECHNIQUE (AKA NET)
NET is a mind-body technique that uses the methodology of finding and removing neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress patterns. These unresolved patters are called Neuro Emotional Complexes (NECs).
Emotional responses are naturally ‘hard wired’ in the body. A stimulus happens, we respond, and then the body should return to normal. Occasionally, however, emotional trauma in the presence of a neurological or meridian deficit can cause a physio-pathological pattern in the body (an NEC) that does not resolve itself. NET seeks to normalize this patter by a physiological change; a result of a physical intervention that is made through the cutaneous or spinal accesses of the nervous system. NET is a tool based on many scientific principles and is used to help improve many behavioral and physical conditions. It is used by healthcare practitioners from many disciplines. For example, a client may just look at a book or a worksheet related to speech therapy and that could potentially produce an emotional response that has been previously hard wired in the body. This would make it hard to work with a client who has some unresolved stress patterns due to the NEC.
